NUEVOS REGISTROS DE CRUSTÁCEOS, DECÁPODOS DE AGUA DULCE, (TRICHODACTYLIDAE, PSEUDOTHELPHUSIDAE, ATYIDAE, PALAEMONIDAE), EN LA REGIÓN DE ACANDÍ

Abstract

Se presentan los resultados del estudio de crustáceos, decápodos de agua dulce, en la región de Acandí. El material biológico colectado pertenece a los Infraórdenes Caridea y Brachyura, representados por las especies Macrobrachium acanthurus (Wiegmann, 1836), M. carcinus (Linnée, 1758), M. crenulatum (Holthuis, 1950), Potimirim glabra (Kingsley, 1978), Sylviocarcinus piriformis (Pretzmann, 1968) y Potamocarcinus pinzoni (Campos, 2003). Los nuevos registros, incluidos en el presente trabajo, amplían la distribución de las especies. El área de estudio se caracteriza por ser una de las regiones ecológicas más importantes del país, por su ubicación y estado de conservación. Sin embargo, la presión ejercida por la población creciente en la región pone en riesgo la estabilidad del ecosistema y las poblaciones.

The results of the study of crustaceans, freshwater decapods, in the Acandí region are presented. The biological material collected belongs to the Infraorders Caridea and Brachyura, represented by the species Macrobrachium acanthurus (Wiegmann, 1836), M. carcinus (Linnée, 1758), M. crenulatum (Holthuis, 1950), Potimirim glabra (Kingsley, 1978), Sylviocarcinus piriformis (Pretzmann, 1968) and Potamocarcinus pinzoni (Campos, 2003). The new records, included in this work, expand the distribution of the species. The study area is characterized by being one of the most important ecological regions in the country, due to its location and state of conservation. However, the pressure exerted by the growing population in the region puts the stability of the ecosystem and populations at risk.
