ANÁLISIS DERMATOGLÍFICO EN POBLACIONES COLOMBIANAS DE COYAIMA Y BOGOTÁ

Abstract

Se analizan mediante procedimientos univariados y multivariados dos muestras de Bogotá y Coyaima (Tolima) según la variación de rasgos digitales y palmares. Las pruebas señalan diferencias significativas tanto a nivel sexual como grupal en las configuraciones de las líneas D y B, áreas Th/I y IV y en el dedo pulgar (I). Coyaima observa mayor frecuencia de torbellinos digitales (72%) que los grupos mestizos (cerca de 42%); también de configuraciones palmares. En el ámbito intergrupal Bogotá se aproxima a otras muestras reportadas de Bogotá y Cali, y a españolas. La muestra de Coyaima por su proximidad a mestizos y españoles podría denotar mestizaje reciente. Las configuraciones palmares son más discriminantes en los análisis intra-intergrupales que las digitales.

Two samples from Bogotá and Coyaima (Tolima) are analyzed using univariate and multivariate procedures according to the variation in digital and palmar traits. The tests indicate significant differences both at the sexual and group level in the configurations of lines D and B, areas Th/I and IV and in the thumb (I). Coyaima observes a higher frequency of digital whirlwinds (72%) than the mestizo groups (about 42%); also palmar configurations. At the intergroup level, Bogotá is close to other samples reported from Bogotá and Cali, already Spanish. The Coyaima sample, due to its proximity to mestizos and Spaniards, could denote recent miscegenation. Palmar configurations are more discriminating in intra-intergroup analyzes than digital ones.
