PROCAMBARUS (SCAPULICAMBARUS) CLARKII (GIRARD, 1852), (CRUSTACEA: DECAPODA: CAMBARIDAE). UNA LANGOSTILLA NO NATIVA EN COLOMBIA

Abstract

La langostilla Procambarus (Scapulicambarus) clarkii (Girard, 1852) se registra para la Sabana de Bogot´a, Colombia. Esta especie se diferencia de otras especies del g´enero por algunas caracter´ısticas morfol´ogicas en el caparaz´on y en el primer gonopodo del macho. La especie P. (S.) clarkii es originaria de la regi´on nor-oriental de M´exico y de las regiones central y sur de los Estados Unidos. La distribuci´on actual incluye todos los continentes, con excepci´on de Australia y la Ant´artica. Posiblemente en Colombia esta especie fue introducida para cultivo en la d´ecada de 1980, pero no hay evidencia de que se hayan cumplido con las formalidades de ley que protegen las comunidades nativas.

The crayfish Procambarus (Scapulicambarus) clarkii (Girard, 1852) is reported for Colombia. This species is distinguished from other species within the genus by some features on the carapace, and the male first gonopod. The species P. (S.) clarkii is native of north astern Mexico and the south and central USA. Actually, the distribution comprises all the continents with exception of Australia and the Antarctic. In Colombia this species of crayfish was introduced possibly for cultivation in the1980s, but without the knowledge and permission of the authorities
