UNA ESPECIE NUEVA DE ESPELETIOPSIS (ASTERACEAE, HELIANTHEAE) DE COLOMBIA

Abstract

Se describe e ilustra una nueva especie de Espeletiopsis conocida hasta ahora del Páramo de Tierranegra, sector de La Lejía, en la cordillera Oriental de Colombia. El nuevo taxón es afin a E. insignis (Cuatrec.) Cuatrec., especie de la que se separa por presentar menor porte, hojas menores y con diferente forma, y ramas floríferas más cortas y con capítulos más grandes pero en menor número.

A new species of Espeletiopsis known until now from the Tierranegra Páramo, La Lejía sector, in the Eastern mountain range of Colombia, is described and illustrated . The new taxon is similar to E. insignis (Cuatrec.) Cuatrec., a species from which it is separated due to its smaller size, smaller leaves with a different shape, and shorter floriferous branches with larger but fewer capitula.
