The most devastating phytonematodes of Musaceae are the migratory endoparasites Radopholus similis and Pratylenchus coffeae and the semi-endoparasite Helicotylenchus multicinctus. This research aimed to recognize the species and populations of phytonematodes affecting the Dominico Hartón and African banana cultivars and FHIA-20 and FHIA-21 hybrids. The study was carried out at the Montelindo farm of the University of Caldas, located at 1010 meters above sea level. Each sample was made up of 200 g of soil and roots of the succession offspring less than 2 m high, in recently flowered plants. The extraction of nematodes was done by the method of liquefaction, centrifugation and flotation in sugar. The phytoparasitic nematodes Radopholus similis , Helicotylenchus multicinctus, Pratylenchus spp were identified . and Meloidogyne spp . The highest populations were recorded in roots of D. hartón and FHIA-21. |
