DISTRIBUCIÓN ESPACIO-TEMPORAL Y TALLAS DE LAS LARVAS DE TRES ESPECIES DE LUTJÁNIDOS EN EL ÁREA NORTE DEL CARIBE COLOMBIANO

Abstract

A partir de los datos obtenidos de la longitud estándar (LS) de 190 larvas de la familia Lutjanidae,se trató de hacer una aproximación de la localización de los sitios de desove, observando la distribu-ción de las larvas, las cuales presentaron aglomeración entre Dibulla y Manaure en el nororiente delCaribe colombiano. También se lograron establecer tres picos de desove en los meses de julio,octubre y mayo cuando concurrieron las larvas de las tallas de tamaño menor entre 2.26 y 4.36 mmde L.S. Por último, del total de larvas encontradas en esta familia se pudieron identificar tresespecies (Lutjanus synagris, L. analis y Rhomboplites aurorubens).

Distribution and sizes of larvae are described and analyzed based on information obtained fromthe standard length (S.L) of 190 identified larvae of the fish family Lutjanidae. An approach to thelocalization of the spawning places was made, observing the distribution of the larvae, whichpresented agglomeration between Dibulla and Manaure in the northwest Colombian Caribbean. Itwas also possible to establish three spawning peaks in the months of July, October and May, when the smaller larvae were present (size between 2.26 and 4.36 mm S.L.).
