DINÁMICA CAÓTICA DE CONDENSADOS DE BOSE-EINSTEIN EN TRAMPAS DE POTENCIAL

Abstract

Se estudia la dinámica caótica de condensados de Bose-Einstein (BEC) dentro de trampas de potencial mediante el uso de una formulación hamiltoniana y un espacio de fase generalizado. El inicio del comportamiento caótico en el sistema se identifica mediante la técnica de secciones de Poincaré y el espectro de evolución; la cuantificación del grado de caoticidad del sistema, en varios escenarios, se hace con base en los exponentes de Lyapunov y la entropía de Kolmogorov-Sinai (KS).

The chaotic dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) within potential traps is studied by using a Hamiltonian formulation and a generalized phase space. The onset of chaotic behavior in the system is identified using the Poincaré section technique and the evolution spectrum; The quantification of the degree of chaoticity of the system, in various scenarios, is done based on the Lyapunov exponents and the Kolmogorov-Sinai (KS) entropy.
